EFCC parades 27-year-old lady who operates fake micro finance bank

Amina Kabo, a 27-year-old woman operating a fake micro finance bankhas been paraded by the operatives of the economic and financial crimes commission (EFCC).
Known as Fauziya Kano, the woman who hails from Bali in Taraba state operates Olive Micro Finance bank located at No 26 Dubabe Plaza, opposite Asibiti, Eastern Bye Pass road Tamaje within Sokoto metropolis.
According to EFCC zonal head, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara, Abdullahi Lawal, she collected money from 108 unsuspecting victims, Leadership reports.
The money was up to the tune of 897,500 just within 2 days of operating the fraudulent micro finance bank.
Lawal said the woman collected money from 5000 to 10000 from unsuspecting victims under the guise of owning accounts for them with a view to granting loans in the following categories
“‘5000 for 50,000, 7,000 for 100,000, 8,000 for 200,000, 9,000 for 300,000 and 10,000 for 400,000 loan respectively.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that an Islamic cleric identified Abdulrashid Imam met with his water-loo, after he was picked up by officials of EFCC Kaduna zonal office, on the basis of his fraudulent activities.
According to a report shared on the official Instagram page of the anti-graft agency, Imam had defrauded another individual identified as Mohammed Dewu, to the tune of over N3m and $24,000, after leading his victim to believe that he has the ability to impact Quranic knowledge on him, with the help of some spiritual beings.
