A kindergartner brought his entire class to witness his adoption hearing on Thursday, December 5, in an adorable courtroom scene marking Kent County’s annual Adoption Day.
The little champ identified as Michael brought all his classmates to stand in as his family as he got formally adopted by foster parents Andrea Melvin and Dave Eaton.
In what turned out to be a memorable day, Michael and 36 other children were adopted and a lot of love and emotions crowded the courtroom that day.
The hearings were a formal procedure to finalise their adoptions. The court gave each family a 30-minute hearing to celebrate the end of the process, WHAS reported.
Kent county’s official Facebook page posted a photo of the young boy, Michael Clark Jr., sitting next to his foster parents as his classmates watched in the back with paper hearts in their hands.
“There is not a dry eye on Judge Patricia Gardner’s courtroom,” Kent County officials wrote in another Facebook post.
Meanwhile, faith in humanity has been restored after a video of a young boy with down syndrome comforting his classmate with autism surfaced on the internet.
The clip was posted by Jalisco Oculto on Facebook, showing that empathy is a beautiful quality in all humans. The clip which has been watched over 20 million times on social media had many internet users believing that kindness is the ultimate language.
Many praised the young boy for having such a beautiful heart and others commended his method of calming the autistic boy as it is a tested method used on children with autism.
