Landlady litters church with trash to force pastor out

- A Nigerian landlady has littered her tenant's building with trash in order to get him to leave

- According to details, the said tenant is a pastor who rented the building as his church

- The pastor's rent however expired in October, 2019 but he is yet to vacate the building

While most disputes between landlords and tenants often end up in court or settled out of court with lawyers, it appears this particular landlady in Edo state was not willing to let any of these happen as she took matters into her own hands.

Her tenant who is a pastor and rented her building for his church activities, was yet to renew his rent after it had expired in October. Rather than vacate the building as he was told by the landlady, he remained.

This in turn annoyed the landlady and pushed her to storm the building with bags of trash and litter everywhere. The incident reportedly occurred at Igbinoba street, off Akugbe road, Benin, Edo state.

Meanwhile, a Nigerian woman identified by her Twitter handle as @Kessiedoll has shared her house hunting experience in Lagos, stating that it has been frustrating.

The young woman explained that she has met with only stiff reactions from landlords, especially the Yoruba ones, who immediately reject her when they know that she is Igbo. Citing an example of when she had already paid for an apartment, @Kessiedoll said she was waiting for her landlord to sign the agreement, but asked her to come back for her money when he realized she was Igbo.

The landlady had asked the pastor to vacate the building after his rent expire but he didn't, pushing her to take matters into her own hands, literally. Na wa o!
