President Muhammadu Buhari is currently in a closed-door meeting with governors of All Progressives Congress (APC) states at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Nation reports that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), and the chief of staff to the president, Mallam Abba Kyari, were also in the meeting with the president and governors.
Legit.ng gathered that the meeting, which agenda was yet to be known as at the time of filing this report, started around 3pm.
The governors who were present at the meeting include those of Osun, Ogun, Plateau, Kebbi, Niger, Jigawa,Ekiti, Kaduna, Nasarawa, Borno, and Edo states.
It was learnt that the Kogi state governor was represented by his deputy.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari approved the re-appointment of the director-general of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Aliyu Aziz, for the second term in office .
It was reported that Aziz got the presidential nod to head the commission for a second term.
A statement issued on Friday, November 22, by Abdulhamid Umar, the general manager, operations and corporate communications of the commission, indicated that President Buhari approved Aziz's re-appointment.
Umar said the MIMC boss's re-appointment was conveyed in a letter by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha.
