Joshua Bohui slams former Man United boss Mourinho for 'unfair treatment'

Former Manchester United youngster Joshua Bohui has accused Jose Mourinho of unfair treatment during his reign at Old Trafford.

The 20-year-old joined Dutch second-tier side NAC Breda on a free transfer in July 2019 after just three years at the club.

Bohui was said to have worked under Mourinho but he clearly did not enjoy his time under the 'Special One'.

The Portuguese born tactician spent two and a half years with the Red Devils before parting ways with the club.

Mourinho made his mark at the club following his triumphs in the Europa League and the EFL Cup competitions during his first year. But his later seasons were not productive.

Bohui told Manchester Evening News: "It was difficult because I was facing — I'm not going to say abuse — but some unfair treatment by the manager at the time.

"I was getting frustrated by the way he was treating me: some of the words he was using, I felt it was unnecessary and it was something I mentioned several times to the club.

"I rejected the offer[s] because I didn't believe I was going to break into the first team with the way I was treated. They weren't really looking at me."

The 20-year-old joined Man United from Brentford in August 2016 and went on the pre-season tour with the seniors last year.

Meanwhile, with the likes of Brandon Williams, Mason Greenwood and Angel Gomes getting playing time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer - Bohui believes he will back at some stage in his career.

He added: "I'm really happy to see some of my [former] team-mates break into the first team, it's nice to see them progress. "I do believe Ole looks to youth and I think he's doing very well. earlier reported that Tottenham striker Harry Kane has opened up on his relationship with newly appointed boss Jose Mourinho and his dreams to win trophies at the club.
