Argentine football manager Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly interested in becoming the new coach of Manchester United and not Arsenal.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is currently under serious pressure due to poor form of run this season in the Premier League.

Arsenal on the other hand recently sacked Spaniard Unai Emery after disappointing result this term and placed Freddie Ljungberg in charge on interim capacity.

Pochettino was last month sacked at Tottenham due to unimpressive performance and was replaced with Jose Mourinho who won his first two matches in charge of Spurs.

However, there have been reports that Manchester United chiefs and Arsenal are considering hiring the 47-year-old Argentine anytime soon.

And according to Manchester Evening News, Mauricio Pochettino will prefer moving to Old Trafford than the North London.

Pochettino was also tipped to replace Jose Mourinho last year before Ole Gunnar Solskjaer impressed during his interim reign and was given the job.

But this season has not been rosy for the Norwegian and he could be the next manager to be axed in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently occupying 8th position on the Premier League standings, while Manchester United occupy ninth position after 14 games played this season.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan made it clear that he does not believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can operate at the required level that is expected from a Man United coach.

Last year when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced Mourinho at Old Trafford, he started well, as he went some games unbeaten but United ended up without a trophy.
