- Burnley vs Manchester City EPL clash saw the visitors bounce back to winning ways

- Two goals from Gabriel Jesus, one each from Rodri and Mahrez sealed the win for the visitors

- Guardiola's men will now focus on Man United clash at the Etihad this weekend

Manchester City got their Premier League title defence back on track following their 4-1 win over Burnley at the Turf Moor in one of the two-midweek encounters on Tuesday night.

Their victory also pushed them back to second position on the table temporarily with eight points behind table-toppers Liverpool who will face Everton in a Merseyside derby tomorrow.

Pep Guardiola's men got the game off to a slow start with the hosts trying to repel all their attacking attempts in the early minutes of the game.

However, despite not having their all-time highest goals scorer in the game, Gabriel Jesus broke the deadlock just after 24 minutes of action.

The Brazilian produced a superb curvy shot from the left-wing after receiving a pass from David Silva to put his side ahead before the half-hour mark.

City continued to mount pressure on their hosts having scored the first goal but all efforts proved unproductive.

Meanwhile, just five minutes after returning to the pitch for the remainder of the fixture, Jesus doubled the visitors' lead in the 50th minute.

And this time around, Bernardo Silva tool credit for the assist as they comfortably control the game with just about 40 more minutes to the end of the game.

The defending champions once more found the back of the net in the 68th minute through Rodri, while Riyad Mahrez sealed the victory for Man City.
