During the end of the year service at Aso Rock Villa in Abuja on Sunday, December 1, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo said that he foresees a bright and glorious future ahead of Nigeria.
Osinbajo, who took his message at the service from the book of Psalms 65: 11, prophesied that God will grace the end of 2019 with his goodness, blessings and abundance, Vanguard reports.
He said: “So, I believe very strongly that God will bless and prosper this land not just at the end of this year but the coming year will be even more glorious year; a much more wonderful year for all of us in Jesus Mighty name.’’
In his prayer, the vice president expressed deep gratitude to the Almighty God for his mercies towards the country.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Osinbajo had pointed at President Muhammadu Buhari's religious tolerance as a quality that Nigerians all over the country should emulate.
Osinbajo, speaking at the opening of the General Assembly of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) in Abuja on Saturday, November 30, admitted that religious bigotry has been a threat to the nation especially in the past.
Using President Buhari's liberality in religious affairs as case study for his speech, Osinbajo said: "Sometimes, when I see the president on a Sunday morning, he asks me whether the service is over already or I am escaping from the service!"
