World heavyweight champion, Andy Ruiz, has issued a stern warning to Anthony Joshua in what appears to be a show of confidence ahead of their much anticipated rematch.

The Mexican champion will slug it out with the British Nigerian born heavyweight star in a fight dubbed "Clash of Dunes" on December 7 in Saudi Arabia.

And the boxing champion said he has become more skilled and faster, vowing to beat Joshua again while telling the Briton to have a rethink on his strategy.

“He’s going to try to make adjustments. I don’t know if he wants to exchange punches, but I’d love for him to do that because I’m the more skilled boxer,” Ruiz told The Telegraph.

“He’ll try to box me round and use his jab. But for how long? How long can he keep me away from hunting him down? That’s what we’ve been working on most of all right now, heading into the fight."

Ruiz stunned the world in what was adjudged greatest upset in boxing history after handing Joshua his first career defeat at Madison Park in New York on June 1, 2019.

The Mexican champion, who boasted about his ability while threatening to beat Joshua in their second fight, carted away the Briton's WBA, IBF & WBO belts.

Joshua triggered a rematch clause in his fight and the duo are set for a showdown said to be the 30-year-old pugilist's true test of championship.
