Outspoken Nigerian first class monarch, the Oluwo of Iwo land, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi has declared that he is greater than two revered Yoruba deities.
The monarch who made the declaration in a post on his Instagram page declared that he is greater than Sango and Ogun who are his ancestors.
In the post, the monarch said a child must be greater than his father and ancestors.
“I’m a proud son of Sango; I’m a proud son of Ogun, but I must be greater than Sango and Ogun.
“Greatness should not stop during our forefathers. The person that is greater than Sango is here. I am not disrespecting our ancestors.
"If I am not greater than my forefathers, then “eyin babaa mi oda (the legacy of my forefathers is unfavourable)!” He said.
Recall that Legit.ng reported that a video online captured the moment traditional ruler displayed some of his powers in the presence of a teeming Iwo crowd.
In the video that was also shared on the official Instagram page of the royal father, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, he was seen looking up to the sky and calling on the most high to come to his aid.
He directed the heavy clouds to unleash their showers in Ibadan, Ikire and two other neighboring towns that are close to his kingdom.
