Meet great-grandmother who is a hairdresser at 101

- 101-year-old great-grandma, Callie Terrell, is still dedicating time to doing what she loves at her age

At age 101, most people are already tired and receiving care and assistance in doing everything but not Callie Terrell, who has defied old age by still staying beautiful, strong and healthy.

Just recently, the great-grandmother clocked 101 and has a lot to celebrate including her vitality. Not only is Terrell still able-bodied, she still finds time to do what she loves the most - hairdressing.

Believe it or not, Terrell at her age still stands to attend to her customers. According to the inspirational great-grandmother, she finds herself still able to carry out her passion and that she will continue to do so as long as life permits. Indeed, Terrell is lucky to still be strong and healthy.

When asked the secret of her long life and vitality, she said: “Just do the right thing. What I mean is, you may be a church person. You believe in the Bible? Just live it,” she said. “Love people. Regardless of who they are. If they don’t love you in return it doesn’t matter.”

Meanwhile, four years back, an Arizona grandmother, Wanda Dench, accidentally invited Jamal Hinton, 20, to Thanksgiving.

The 62-year-old thought she was inviting her own grandson but she had the wrong cellphone number and ended up extending the invite to Hinton instead.

According to ABC7news, the text message went viral and the duo decided to meet each other. The granny and Hinton hit it off and they have been close friends ever since.

This year's Thanksgiving is their fourth one together, learned.
