Talented 33-year-old builds petrol mini car and trucks from scratch (photos)

- A 33-year-old Ghanaian has built petrol mini trucks and a car from scratch

From a burdened heart, owing to experiencing at first hand the struggles of the deprived to make ends meet, especially market women, 33-year-old Michael Asidu, decided to build mini trucks that would help them in their daily businesses.

Despite the financial setbacks and having access to little resources, Asidu braved the odds to start very little from scratch.

The determined young Ghanaian talent has always been inclined towards mechanics while growing up.

Asidu started building his dreams into life using a combination of metal scrap materials, plywood and aluminium sheets to build his petrol mini-trucks to enable business owners transport their products easily.

Legit.ng understands Asidu aims at using his skills to help the underserved in his current residence especially women whose work pose a health risk to their lives.

From Takoradi in the Western region, he reveals that: ''I have seen a lot of people trying to make both ends meet but doing it at the expense of their health. For instance if you visit Agbogbloshie where onions are sold, the young men who are not yet even married carries more than 80kg of onion on their back just to get some money.''

He adds: ''A person like this is going to be affected severely on the back bone. So with the talent God has given me I have decided to use it to help the immediate people around me. That is why I build machines like these types.''

The latest of his mind-blowing inventions is a manual truck that moves without it being pushed. Hitherto his invention, trucks had to be pushed or pulled using human power that Asidu has eliminated the human aspect.

Many people have been left awed by his creation and were of the view that it would help make work easy with a bit of technological swag.

Asidu is set to undertake major projects but has noted his need for investors to make the business venture viable and sustainable.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng gathered the report of a social media user identified by the username Felix Bomi on Facebook, who shared the story of a young and talented individual he came across. According to Bomi, he ran into the individual who goes by the name Shedrack Ibukun, somewhere around his place of residence.

Upon seeing some of the creative inventions of Ibukun, he took some photos and posted it online, with hopes that a kindhearted Nigerian will come to the aid of the young man and help him harness his creativity.
