Carlos Soler put the home team ahead as Matteo Kovacic leveled matter. Christian Pulisic put the Blues in front before Daniel Wass scored the goal of the match as both sides shared the spoils.

Five minutes after the restart, Pulisic scrambled home a cross from Kourt Zouma from close range to make it 2-1.

Things went from bad to worse for Valencia as they were awarded a penalty in the 64th minute but captain Daniel Parejo missed the spot-kick.

But Waiss put his side back on level terms with a sensational goal after his cross from right went straight into the back of the net to make it 2-2.

And that was how it ended as both sides would wait until the last matchday to know who will be going through into the next round of the competition.
