Former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the latest football star to venture into club ownership after buying a 50 percent stake in a Swedish topflight club Hammarby.
The 38-year-old was linked with a return to top European football after parting ways with Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy at the end of their football season.
But his hopes were dashed after new Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho shunned the generous offer from his former point man.

Before calling it quit with the MLS side, the Swede scored 31 goals out of 31 matches, including eight assists in the process.
The tall and powerful attacker spent close to two seasons at the club having joined them from the Red Devils in March 2018, and he scored a total of 53 goals and 15 assists in 58 appearances.
Ibrahimovic, after ending his reign with his United States-based club stunned the world as becomes a co-owner of the club. He bought AEG Sweden's half of the Stockholm club.
Ibrahimovic, 38, said: "Hammarby is a fantastic club with passionate supporters and has great respect in both Stockholm and Sweden.

"I have always liked the club and the fans, since then I am impressed with what the club has done in recent years, both on and off the pitch.
"Being able to join and develop Hammarby forward feels both fun and exciting."
The move has continued to attract reactions from fans all over especially after the striker posted a short clip on his Instagram handle.
Meanwhile, a delighted Hammarby chairman, Richard von Yxkull was in Los Angeles to welcome his new partner, saying: "This is still new to us, but of course very exciting. The timing feels good.
"We have had a strong development in recent years and next year we play in Europe.
"To then get a person like Zlatan Ibrahimović into the club, with the passion and winning mentality he stands for feels right.
"It is too early to say anything in detail about how Zlatan can contribute to Hammarby Football, but there is clearly very great potential in the collaboration."
Legit.ng earlier reported that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has left Major League Soccer fans in suspense after posting a hilarious tweet suggesting he may quit with California side LA Galaxy.
The former Swedish international, who had successful stints with teams like PSG, Barcelona and Man United, dropped the hint after the expiration of his contract.
It is however unsure if the forward will renew his deal with the MLS outfit before the start of the new season next year.
