- Juventus vs Atletico Madrid ended in favour of the Serie A side
- Paulo Dybala scored the only goal of the match in the 45+2 minutes of the encounter
- The Old Lady have now confirmed their place at the round of 16 of the championship
Italian League giants Juventus sealed their progress to the round of 16 of this season's UEFA Champions League tournament with a 1-0 win over La Liga side Atletico Madrid in Turin.
The Old Lady consolidated their leadership on D table with 13 points after five group matches - as they rank among the top teams to have reached the next stage of the competition.
Argentine forward Paulo Dybala precisely struck free-kick from an impossible angle and it went straight into the net without the help of anyone in the added minutes of the first stanza of the meeting.
Rodrigo Bentancur won the freekick for the hosts having been terribly tackled by Atletico's defender Mario Hermoso towards the corner flag.
Before Dybala found the breakthrough in the 45+2 minutes, both teams had strived to find the back of the net but none of their efforts hit the target.
Having broken the deadlock in the late minutes of the first half, Juve took a goal advantage into the dressing room ahead of the second stanza.
