Popular Hollywood actor, Idris Elba, is set to star in an all-black movie, first of its kind, titled The Harder They Fall.

According to GED, the movie is being produced by popular American rapper and businessman, Jay Z. The movie is going to be changing some of the stock narratives about people of colour.

In the movie, Elba will be playing an antagonist role and it will also feature Jonathan Majors. Jeymes Samuel will be directing the film.

A summary of the story shows it is centred around a convict called Nat Love who is seeking to avenge the death of his parents.

It should be noted that Nat Love is said to be one of the earliest black cowboys whose exports were considered legendary.

Meanwhile, earlier reported that Elba was working on using less of social media platforms because the news on them gives him depression.

Though an active user of Twitter and Instagram, the Thor star will be reducing the time spent on them because world events sadden him.

Speaking to the media, he said that though he used to post so much on social media, he has been getting put off lately, adding that it is not how he wants to get his news.

The 47-year-old actor said that though he gets news on his iPad, he still cannot check them because they could dampen his mood.

"I've been trying to wean myself off. I used to post a lot more, but it's been putting me off lately. And Twitter's just not how I want to receive my news.
