Raheem Sterling will not commit his long term future to Manchester City until Pep Guardiola extends his stay at the Etihad.
The Spanish boss recently claimed he will not be leaving the Premier League champions next summer but the Englishman wants an official confirmation before signing a £450-per-week deal.
This means Guardiola's departure could lead to the 24-year-old leaving the club to play for his manager with another team.

Sterling has grown to become one of the most reliable players in the Citizens squad since the arrival of the former Barcelona boss in the 2016-17 season.
He scored ten goals in his first season under Guardiola and bagged 23 in the 2017-18 campaign, also adding 25 last season including 14 so far in the 2019-20 term.
The England international has not ruled out playing for top European sides outside England in the future.
Sterling said: “It’s always been a dream of mine to play abroad somewhere.”
He has already got interest from top sides last summer including Spanish giants Real Madrid, Barcelona and Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain.
