Super Eagles midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has given the sum of N1.4m to former Nigeria youth international Sani Emmanuel for his medical treatment in the hospital.
Sani Emmanuel was among the players who played for Nigeria at the 2009 FIFA Under 17 World Cup before he was forced to quit football due to injury.
And since he got injured, Sani Emmanuel has been battling for survival on how to resuscitate his career and also how to undergo surgery.
He recently solicited for help on social media where many Nigerians felt bad about his current ordeal.
And Ogenyi Onazi who was in the same squad with Sani Emmanuel at the 2009 World Cup has paid for the surgery of his former teammate.
“I got a call from the doctor that Ogenyi Onazi has paid 1.4m for my surgery and also transferred 50k for my ticket to Lagos.
“Thank you very much, brother. May God continue to bless you. The surgery is scheduled for 2nd of December 2019,'' an elated Emmanuel shared on Instagram.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how former Nigerian youth international Sani Emmanuel explained how injury forced him to quit the game of football at the time when he should be playing active soccer.
Sani Emmanuel was among the players who played for Nigeria at the 2009 FIFA U-17 World Cup which was hosted by the west African nation.
Nigeria reached the final of the championship before losing 1-0 against Switzerland, and Sani Emmanuel was among the players who helped Nigeria that year.
