- Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has been named the most powerful dresser of 2019

- Markle climbed the ranks of the Lyst Index, replacing Kylie Jenner

- The 38-year-old Markle is said to have sparked a 216% increase in searches of outfits worn

Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has emerged as 2019's most powerful dresser, according to the Lyst Index, an annual fashion report which analyses data collected throughout the year to reveal the biggest trends.

Markle who ranked third in 2018 climbed the ranks to number one, replacing make-up mogul, Kylie Jenner.

It was gathered that music stars often dominate the list but the Duchess of Sussex is the only royal to feature in the top 10 this year. She was followed by Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya, in second and third place.

From her unwavering penchant for covetable coats to the former actor’s ability to send Strathberry bags flying from the shelves, her style has managed to inspire many, earning her the top spot as a great fashion influencer.

Reports reveal that the global fashion search platform Lyst collated data including sales, page views, global media coverage and social media mentions to generate findings on this year's biggest trends.

Meanwhile, Hezron Brown, a 29-year-old reformed gang member, has been recognised for his work in helping young people with social integration and is set to be rewarded with a young achiever award on October 28.

Daily Mail reports that Prince Charles named Brown as the winner of the Pride of Britain award and told him his kind is needed in the world.

He will receive the Prince's Trust Young Achiever award for his work with young people at risk of slipping into violent gang culture, after turning his own life around.
