Jose Mourinho is now expected to return to Old Trafford on December 4 as Tottenham manager as his side will face Manchester United in a big Premier League game.
The former Chelsea handler was recently appointed Tottenham boss and will face West Ham United in his first game in charge of Spurs.
Mourinho was sacked at Manchester United in December 2018 after poor run of form, and the Portuguese will be making a return as gaffer of another Premier League side.
He signed a deal to become Spurs manager on Wednesday morning, November 20, until the end of the 2023 season.
"We are delighted to announce the appointment of Jose Mourinho as Head Coach on a contract that runs until the end of the 2022/23 season.
"Jose is one of the world's most accomplished managers having won 25 senior trophies. He is renowned for his tactical prowess and has managed FC Porto, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United,'' Tottonham announced in a statement.
Meanwhile, Tottenham are currently occupying 14th position on the Premier League standings, while Manchester United occupy seventh after 12 games.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Tottenham forward Dele Alli praised Argentine football manager Mauricio Pochettino less than 24 hours after he was sacked by the Premier League side.
