Kogi election: Melaye, Adeyemi, 22 others jostle for senatorial seat (full list)

Many are aware that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will be conducting a rerun election in Kogi West senatorial district as a result of the appeal court judgment which sacked Senator Dino Melaye.

However, what many may not be aware of is that the election is not only between Senator Melaye of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Senator Smart Adeyemi, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress who challenged the February poll's result in court.

According to a list released by INEC, 24 candidates (21 male and 3 female) will be participating in the senatorial election altogether.

The election will be conducted alongside the state's governorship election slated for Saturday, November 16.

Below is the full list of the participating senatorial candidates and their political parties.
