Man United vs Brighton: Rashford, Pereira score as Red Devils win 3-1

- Man United vs Brighton saw the Red Devils return to winning ways following their defeat to Bournemouth last weekend

- Goals from Andreas Pereira, Marcus Rashford and Davy Propper sealed a 3-1 win for United

- The Old Trafford dwellers now sit seventh on the standings with 16 points

Man United on Sunday, November 10, finally managed to overcome their south coast hoodoo, stunning Brighton 3-1 at Old Trafford

United had initially failed to beat Southampton and Bournemouth who they lost 1-0 to at the Vitality Stadium last weekend.

Brighton were therefore aiming to make it a seaside treble during their Manchester trip, only to come down crumbling.

The Red Devils got control of the encounter inside 20 minutes of game play, with Andreas Pereira opening the scoring for Man Utd with a deflected strike in the 17th minute.

Brighton midfielder Davy Propper went on to poke over his own line two minutes later to double the home side's advantage into the break.

The resumption of the second half however saw the hosts slump as Brighton sought to settle into the match.

Lewis Dunk pulled one back for the Seagulls in 64th minute, planting a powerful header from a header.

But Marcus Rasford dented Brighton’s comeback hopes two minutes later, with the Englishman firing in off the bar after being set up by Anthony Martial.

The 22-year-old should have buried the game minutes later, only for him to miss a sitter from close range, scuffing his effort wide.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men eventually held on to cart home all the three points as they moved to seventh on the log with 16 points.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how former Crystal Palace chairman Simon Jordan made it clear that he does not believe that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can operate at the required level that is expected from a Man United coach.
