Police boss orders redeployment of senior officers

- The inspector general of Police has ordered the redeployment of some senior officers of the Police on Saturday, November 9

- The officers redeployed include some Commissioners of Police who were recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIG)

- According to the IGP, the newly redeployed officers are expected to resume in their new posting with immediate effect

Some senior Police officers who were recently promoted by the Nigeria Police have been redeployed to various commands.

The redeployment of the senior officers was ordered by the inspector general of Police, Mohammed Adamu.

A statement by the force public relations officer, Frank Mba, said on Saturday, November 9, that those redeployed are some Commissioners of Police who were recently promoted to the rank of Assistant Inspectors General (AIG).

Mba said: “The newly deployed senior officers to zones and formations are Dan Bature, AIG DFA FHQ, Hyelasinda Musa, AIG PMF, Yunana Babas, AIG Zone 8 Lokoja and Dan Mohammed, AIG SPU; Mua’zu Halilu, AIG CTU, Rabiu Yusuf, AIG ICT, Ahmed Iliyasu, AIG Zone 2, Lagos, AIG Mohammed Kura, AIG Maritime, Zaki Ahmed, AIG Zone 6, Calabar and Zama Senchi, AIG Community Policing."

Others, the FPRO said are Bello Sadiq, AIG Zone 1, Kano; Austin Iwero, AIG DOPS FHQ and Lawal Ado, AIG Works.

He also said that the IGP the redeployed officers are expected to resume in their new places of deployment with immediate effect.

Mba said the officer will also bring their vast experiences and professionalism to bear in advancing the fortunes of the force.

Furthermore, the IGP directed the AIGs to ensure adequate supervision of their respective departments and formations to enhance the ongoing drive at repositioning the force for improved service delivery.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the IGP had on Wednesday, November 6, announced the redeployment of seven deputy inspector general of police (DIGs).

The DIGs who were redeployed were also expected to resume at their new postings with immediate effect.
