Barely twenty hours after the Court of Appeal sitting in Kaduna sacked the spokesperson of the Senate and senator representing Ekiti south, Adedayo Adeyeye and ordered the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to issue certificate of return to former deputy governor of the state, Abiodun Olujimi, the appeal court has affirmed the election of Senator Rocha Okorocha.

The Nation reports that the Court of Appeal sitting in Owerri, the Imo state capital, on Thursday, November 7, affirmed Okorocha's victory at the poll.

Legit.ng gathered that Okorocha, who was the immediate past governor of Imo state, and a senator representing Imo West senatorial district at the upper legislative chamber, had his election upheld after the appeal filed against him was dismissed.
