Carl Ikeme, former Super Eagles goalkeeper, has been honoured by Wednesfield FC
The club named a stand after their former goalkeeper located in the East Midlands.
Ikeme retired prematurely after having a long battle with leukemia in 2018 and missed out of Super Eagles squad that participated at the 2018 World Cup.

The 33-year-old started and finished his career with Wolves from 2003 to 2018 but had several loan spells with others English clubs including former Premier League champions Leicester City.
He was part of the Wolves side that lifted the Championship trophy and gained promotion into the English topflight division in the 2008-09 season.
Ikeme also won the League One title with the Wanderers in the 2013-14 season and played ten times for Super Eagles before hanging his gloves.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Kelechi Iheanacho's Carabao Cup goal against Burton Albion has been nominated for Leicester City's Goal of the month prize for October 2019.
Seven goals were shortlisted for the accolade and Iheanacho's strike in the English League Cup was also selected.
