Cristiano Ronaldo has sent a heartfelt message to international teammate Andre Gomes after the midfielder suffered a terrible leg injury during Everton's 1-1 draw against Tottenham.
The Everton midfielder suffered a fractured dislocation when he was caught by Heung-min Son that saw players upset after the incident.
Gomes underwent a successful surgery and the Portugal international is expected to make full recovery.

Teammates and fans around the world have sent messages to the former Barcelona midfielder to show support including Juventus star Ronaldo.
"Fast improvements @ aftgomes21 will come back even stronger - big hug," Ronaldo said.
Ronaldo and Gomes were part of the Portugal squad that won Euro 2016 championships in France.
Everton are three points above relegation zone in the Premier League as Marco Silva is facing pressure of getting sacked as the Toffees' boss.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Alex Iwobi committed a blunder that led to Tottenham taking the lead against Everton and England legend Alan Shearer has blamed the Super Eagles midfielder.
Iwobi took his eye off Fabian Delph who requested for the ball as the Nigerian gave away possession and Dele Alli punished the Toffees and put Spurs ahead in the 63rd minute.
