In Nigeria, quite a number of female celebs are light skinned and oftentimes it is as a result of using bleaching creams.
Some female celebs even take it a step further by selling these creams or advertising it for people. As a result, many fans feel most light skinned female celebs attained their complexion via bleaching.
Just recently, Nigerian fashionista, Laura Ikeji caused a little stir on social media after she claimed to have never bleached her skin in her life. The mother of one admitted to toning her skin a few times, but never bleaching.
Further in the post, Laura added that having money brings out people’s true skin colour.
She wrote: "Funny fact is, I’ve never bleached my skin in my life. Maybe a lil toning here n there but nothing intense. Money kinda brings out ur natural skin lol.”
