- The Spaniard had called Mane a diver after being booked for simulation in Villa Park win
- The Senegalese is instrumental to Liverpool's breakthrough as a strong Premier League contender
Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool boss, has responded to Pep Guardiola's subtle jibe at Sadio Mane after the forward was branded a diver by the Spaniard following his side's narrow win over Aston Villa.
The Senegalese forward, who was a heroic character in Reds' narrow 2-1 win over Aston Villa, was booked for simulation.
Mane's assist to Andy Robertson got Liverpool an equaliser before the Senegalese headed in Trent Arnold Alexander's corner to give Reds the last laugh.
But Pep was not impressed with the Liverpool's talisman as he branded the forward a diver.
"Sometimes he (Mane) is diving, sometimes he has this talent to score incredible goals in the last minute. He's a talent ," the Spanish manager had said said.
Reacting to the jibe at his forward ahead of his side's match against the Manchester club, Klopp defended Mane's fall in the box.
"He got the yellow card and when you see it back it was not diving, there was contact but it is a decision we have to accept it," Klopp said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Spanish midfielder David Silva has been ruled out of Manchester City vs Liverpool Premier League match due to muscle injury.
The 33-year-old will miss the big encounter when Pep Guardiola's men travel to Anfield on Sunday, November 10, for the much anticipated game between the two best sides in England.
