Top PDP member defects to APC, says former party is dead

- The PDP has lost one of its members, Hon Sulaimon Oyenuga, to the APC in Lagos state

- Oyenuga said with his exit, the PDP is dead for good

- Alhaji Ibrahim Alao Megida, an APC chieftain, assured Oyenuga that he was highly welcomed

Hon Sulaimon Oyenuga, a former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s top member in Lagos state, has joined the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Oyenuga dumped the party at at an award night organised by the Lagos state chapter of the Performing Musicians’ Association of Nigeria (PMAN) in collaboration with a Lagos Mainland APC chieftain, Alhaji Ibrahim Alao Megida.

The ex-PDP politician called on all Yorubas in other parties to defect to the APC because of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who according to him, is a great leader.

With my exit from the PDP, I can assure you that the PDP is absolutely dead and dead for good. I, therefore, advised all Yoruba in that party to leave for the APC because the PDP, as a party, does not always consider the interest of Yoruba when it comes to matters of importance,” he said.
