Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo has been accused of diving after going down to win a penalty in the 95th minute for Juventus against Genoa on Wednesday night, October 30.
Cristiano Ronaldo went down in injury time after having contact with Genoa defender Antonio Sanabria in which the referee blew the whistle immediately.
The referee gave Juventus a penalty in which the VAR even refused to overturn the decision.
And after Juventus were given the penalty, Ronaldo then stepped up and smashed his 96th-minute penalty into the bottom corner to secure a 2-1 win for the Old Lady.
But some football fans were livid with Cristiano Ronaldo going down easily to get a spot kick and he was blasted on social media.
"How many million times have we seen this move out of Ronaldo? He clearly pulls his foot up so that he falls—clearly not because of any contact,'' One fan explained.
Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Ronaldo scored a last minute winner as Juventus reclaimed top spot in Serie A after a 2-1 win against Genoa on Wednesday, September 30.
The 34-year-old made his return to the team after sitting out of Lecce's game but Juventus struggled to break down a resilient Genoa side in the early exchange.
