Former Super Eagles goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has explained that Zlatan Ibrahimovic used to call him 'black mamba' when they were both playing in the French Ligue 1.

During that time, Vincent Enyeama was keeping for Lille, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the main striker for Paris-Saint-Germain.

Enyeama while speaking with Get French Football News stated that he never spoke with Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the pitch during games, but they used to talk off the pitch.

''He used to call me like black mamba. Like: ‘Oh, black mamba, you are here again, we are going to deal with you today.’ I said ok (laughs).

''We used to joke off the field, but on the pitch he never said a word to me,'' Vincent Enyeama explained.

Before Vincent Enyeama retired from international football, the 37-year-old faced Barcelona star Lionel Messi at two different World Cups and explained he had talks with him.

“I had a chat with Messi (on the pitch) once, I can’t even remember what he was saying. I think I told him you hit the ball out and he said no it was your player. But we had fun,'' Enyeama explained.

Earlier, Legit.ng had reported how Vincent Enyeama is not ruling out a return to feature for the Super Eagles if he is being called up by Gernot Rohr.

The former Lille star hung up his gloves in 2015 after clashing with former Super Eagles handler and ex-national team captain Sunday Oliseh.
