- Galadima claimed that Nigerians were not happy with the ruling of the apex court
- The rAPC leader further alleged that Nigerians would have been in jubilant mood if the Supreme Court judgement had favoured the opposition
The Supreme Court's ruling on Wednesday, October 30, which dismissed the petition of the Peoples Democratic Party and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has continued to generate heated reactions.
Speaking on Channels TV on Thursday, October 31, Buba Galadima, leader of the reformed All Progressives Congress (rAPC) members, faulted the judgement of the apex court.
Galadima said Nigerians want to know the court’s analysis which will explain how the seven-man panel arrived at its decision.
He claimed that Nigerians were unhappy with the ruling of the Supreme Court which affirmed President Muhammadu Buhari’s election.
He added that Nigerians would have been in a jubilation mood if the judgement had favoured the opposition PDP.
Similarly, the PDP’s presidential candidate, Atiku, said he had accepted that the judicial choice he made in going to court had come to an end with the loss he suffered at the apex court.
He, however, said that he would leave Nigerians to decide whether justice was really gotten at the court.
The apex court judgement is eliciting mixed reactions among Nigerians across various political divides.
While some described it as a positive development, some alleged that it was a miscarriage of justice.
Also, some Nigerians advised all the levels of governments to move beyond the judgement and start focusing on delivering good governance to the citizens.
