Angelo Ogbonna, West Ham star, claims he chose Italy over Nigeria after NFF snub
Angelo Ogbonna, West Ham defender, has revealed his decision to play for Italy over Nigeria had nothing to do with the colour or race.
According to Allnigeriasoccer, Angelo's uncle Prince, said the West Ham defender wanted to represent Nigeria but was ignored by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
The former Juventus defender made his debut for the Azzurri against Poland in 2011 and was fully committed in a World Cup qualifier in the fixture against Bulgari.

Ogbonna who currently plays in the Premier League gave his opinion on racism on the club's website: ”I grew up with Nigerian parents, but I chose to play for the Italian national team because I felt that was right.
”Whether you are black, Asian or whatever, you should be proud. I always say, we should be focused on the important things, which are not black or white.
”We are the same people. We all laugh and we all cry. For me, there is no difference”.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Paul Adlam staked an unbelievable £10 for Leicester City to beat Southampton 9-0 while the scores was still at 3-0.
The 41-year-old man from Bournemouth is understood to have taken the risk after Ryan Bertrand was given a red card.
