Zlatan Ibrahimovic might as well be on his way back to Spain, if his Instagram story is anything to go by.
The 38-year-old, who has had a glittering career across various big clubs in Europe including Barcelona, took to social media to send an exciting video to his 38 million followers.
''Ola Espana (Hello Spain). Guess what? I’m coming back,” Ibrahimovic, who has been tipped to be the footballer with the largest ego in football said.
The Swedish seemed to have confirmed that he played his final game in the Major League Soccer (MLS) in the US after his LA Galaxy side lost 5-3 to Los Angeles FC.
There has been mass speculation over his next destination, with fans expressing fear he might be ready to hang his boots aged 38.
Regardless, he has been linked with moves to former club Manchester United and more recently, Italian giants Napoli.
Based on his direct message on Instagram, however, it looks like “King Zlatan” could be headed back to Spain, where he had a fairly successful stint with Barca between 2009 and 2011.
His time at Barcelona was marred with some controversy and despite bagging 16 league goals in 29 appearances, there were reports he had several bust-ups with the then manager Pep Guardiola.
Legit.ng earlier reported that former Paris-Saint-Germain and Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has dropped a big hint that he could be hanging his boots from football on Sunday, October 20.
Ibrahimovic has been playing football for the past 20 years winning incredible titles in France, Italy, Spain and the Premier League in England.
