On-air personality Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi has reacted to the arrest of Dubai-based Nigerian big boy Mompha for fraud.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Mompha was arrested by Interpol for a scam case of $5 million (N1.8 billion).

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said that Mompha has confessed to his involvement in the two cases filed against him and will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

Nigerians have weighed in on the matter and some people stated that they were not surprised about the news of his arrest as he spends money lavishly without speaking on his real source of income.

A few days before his arrest, Mompha showed off a Ferrari 488 Spider worth N150 million just two days after buying a 2020 Ferrari Rolls Royce.

Reacting to Mompha’s arrest, OAP Gbemi said that whoever wants to live a life of fraud must lay low, noting that she does not support crime. The radio presenter took to the popular micro-blogging platform, Twitter, to share her opinion.

Some of the presenter's fans have commented on her reaction. Many agreed with her opinion, noting that fraudsters who flaunt their wealth put themselves in trouble.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Mompha shared a throwback photo of himself and his wife as he celebrated their 8th wedding anniversary. The Naija big boy had only simple and short words to celebrate his beloved wife.
