A 106-year-old woman identified as Nancy Stewart from Clonard, Ireland, has stated that having a good sense of humour is her secret to a long and healthy life. Stewart who is said to be the oldest person in Ireland still living in her own home, also advised that staying off alcohol and cigarettes can aid longevity.
While speaking to RTE, she said: "Have a good humour, don't fight with anyone and do your job well. That's all."
Stewart also recently clocked a new age and celebrated her special day in style. She used the occasion to call on the government to provide good homes for the homeless.
Interestingly, Stewart spends her free time volunteering to help the homeless, and the pensioner also donates money to charity when she is able to. As far as having a good life is concerned, Stewart believes, she's having a great one.
In an interview, she also advised people to stay off alcohol and cigarettes and when it comes to unwinding and relaxing, Stewart recommended having tea with friends and having a good conversation. She added that provided they make the tea themselves.
Meanwhile, a 74-year-old woman, Erramatti Mangayamma, reportedly gave birth to two beautiful baby girls.
According to NDTV's reports, Mangayamma conceived via in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and delivered twin babies through C-section.
