Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze has been shortlisted among the ten youngsters to contend for the 2019 Kopa Trophy.

Paris Saint Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe won the maiden edition of the prestigious award following his exploit in the year under review.

He won the Ligue 1 title with PSG and inspired his country's national team, France win the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia - becoming one of the few teenagers to have achieved the feat.

Chukwueze made his Africa Cup of Nations debut earlier this year and scored once on their way to winning bronze medal at the competition.

He has also scored twice in eight appearances for Villarreal in the Spanish League this campaign - thereby justifying his inclusion in the 10-man shortlist for the award.

The winger has however showed off his new iPhone valued around N600,000 to celebrate his inclusion in the best youngsters in world football.

Chukwueze was also the youngest player to score at AFCON 2019 following his goal that helped Nigeria conquer South Africa at the quarterfinal stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, top European teams are interested in signing the 20-year-old Super Eagles winger as he continues to dazzle with the Yellow Submarines.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Super Eagles and Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze made the 10-man shortlist for the prestigious 2019 Kopa Trophy.

According to list of nominees released by France Football on Monday night, October 21, the 20-year-old Chukwueze will be vying to be the best U21 player in global football.
