To promote contactless handwashing, the wife Enugu state Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Monica, has constructed taps for students to wash their hands. The politician's wife was spotted in photos with the kids.
The first lady had constructed tippy taps usings kegs to promote contactless handwashing on Global Handwashing Day which was celebrated on Tuesday, October 15.
Tippy taps are created using kegs or plastic bottles and they are mainly used in areas where there is no running water. It is operated by using a foot lever to prevent the spread of bacteria.

In some of the photos shared by aTwitter account identified as Enugu Metropolitan Network, the Enugu state first lady was seen teaching the students how to use the tippy tap.

However, many Nigerians expressed shock at seeing the photos of the tippy taps. They noted that the first lady of Enugu could have done better than a tippy tap.
