Super Eagles and Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze made the 10-man shortlist for the prestigious 2019 Kopa Trophy.
According to list of nominees released by France Football on Monday night, October 21, the 20-year-old Chukwueze will be vying to be the best U21 player in global football.

The former Golden Eaglets ace, who has excelled for both club and country will battle the likes of Real Madrid's Vinicius Junior, Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho, Arsenal's Matteo Guendouzi, Juventus' Matthijs de Ligt, Atlético de Madrid's Joao Felix and four others.
Paris Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe emerged the inaugural winner of the award last year, seeing off Chelsea's Christian Pulisic and AS Roma's Justin Kluivert, a feat Chukwueze will be eyeing to replicate come December 2.
Interestingly, since his arrival of the big stage, Chukwueze helped Nigeria with a third-place finish at 2019 AFCON in Egypt, as well as turning out decent performances for the Yellow Submarine in the Spanish topflight within the year under review.
Legit.ng reported earlier that Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is one of seven Reds stars named alongside Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Barcelona's Lionel Messi on the 30-man shortlist for the 2019 Ballon d'Or.
Other Liverpool stars listed are Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Georginio Wijnaldum and Alisson.
