A Federal High Court sitting Lagos on Monday, October 21, ordered the temporary forfeiture of a property belonging to the former Senate president, Bukola Saraki.
The court in its ruling granted EFCC the interim forfeiture of the property located at 17A McDonald Road, Ikoyi, Eti Osa local government area of Lagos.
The Cable reports that the commission had in an application told the court that the property was acquired from “proceeds of unlawful activities”.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Saraki had described said that EFCC's investigation on him is mischievous.
The former Senate president said contrary to the tenets of the rule of law that the EFCC's probe is only aimed at settling scores among politicians.
