- Mesut Ozil has been frozen out of Arsenal starting XI by club manager Unai Emery
- The 31-year-old has made just two appearances for the Gunners this campaign
- Ozil insists some of his critics condemnation are not fair enough
Mesut Ozil is furious at being singled out for condemnation by Arsenal fans whenever Gunners suffer defeat during big games.
Ozil, who current contract is valued at £350,000 per week at the Emirates, has been blacked out by manager Unai Emery and has made just two appearances this season.

At the last count, the midfielder, who has started only one game this campaign is unhappy with some of his critics. "I have a contract until the summer of 2021 and I will be staying until then.
"When I signed the new deal, I thought about it very carefully and said it was one of the most important decisions of my footballing career. I didn't want to stay for just one or two more years, I wanted to commit my future to Arsenal and the club wanted me to do the same.
"You can go through difficult times, like this, but that is no reason to run away and I'm not going to. I'm here until at least 2021."
Ozil also had time to fire back at Arsenal fans for their reactions over his absence on matchdays due to illness.
"I also get really frustrated when I miss a game through illness and people question if it is genuine. Yes, it happened a few times - usually in the winter - but what am I supposed to do?
"If you knew me, you would know it takes a lot for me to miss a game and I have never used sickness as an excuse. Actually the opposite. I played many games when I was ill or had injuries.
"Most players don't play when injured or sick - it influences your game, you can't give everything - but I was always available unless it was impossible,” Ozil was quoted as saying to The Athletic.
Last campaign he missed several away games and this season he has sat out Gunners' last three league games as well as the trip to Man United and the home fixtures against Standard Liege and Bournemouth.

“When I decided he shouldn't be in the squad it's because I think other players deserved it more,” Emery summed up after Arsenal’s Europa League win over Standard Liege early this month.
Legit.ng reported earlier that Mesut Ozil could leave Arsenal in the January transfer window for Fenerbache, reports in Turkey claim.
The 30-year-old has been frozen out of the team this season by manager Unai Emery, making only one appearance across all competitions.
