A special police team has discovered and raided another torture centre located in Kofar Marusa area of Katsina state.
The Nation reports that the team which is from the inspector-general of police, Mohammed Adamu, carried out the raid on Wednesday, October 16.
This is coming barely a day after a raid was carried out at an Islamic centre operated by 78-year-old Alhaji Abdullahi Bello Umar.
The police team arrived in three vehicles at Malam Niga centre at Kofa Marusa and took away the owner of the centre and his assistants.
Superintendent Gambo Isah who is the spokesperson of the Katsina state police command confirmed the raid.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the police in Kaduna state discovered a house containing over 300 people chained in their arms and legs in Rigasa community, Igabi local government area of Kaduna state.
The police said some of the people found in the house are from Burkina Faso, Mali and other African countries, Nigerian Tribune reports. Legit.ng gathers that the unbundling of the house was confirmed by the state commissioner of police, Ali Aji Janga.
Afterwards, the police, on Saturday, September 28, announced that its men arrested seven suspects connection with the alleged illegal detention of the 300 people.
