Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state has commended the various socio-political groups working hard and supporting his re-election bid.
The governor said he is overwhelmed with the support his campaign has gotten with donation of materials and monetary donations.
He assured all the groups that their gestures would be rewarded in due time.
The governor made the statement through the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Edward Onoja on Tuesday, October 15.
Onoja was receiving the leaders of non-indigenes in Kogi state, who presented to him a certificate of endorsement and a cheque of N1million, donated towards Governor Bello's re-election campaign.
Governor Bello pointed out that his administration has continued to run an all-inclusive administration whereby non-indigenes were appointed into the government.
He noted that non-indigenes in Kogi play critical social, economic and political roles which he sid been very beneficial to the state.
He stated that Kogi as a safe place has allowed non-indigenes, their businesses and endeavours thrive without being discriminated against.
Onoja was afterwards presented a specially designed certificate of endorsement and a cheque of N1million.
Meanwhile, Governor Bello has reacted to the loss of Senator Dino Melaye at the Appeal Court, saying it further vindicates his earlier position that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) manipulated the elections.
The governor praised the judiciary, saying it has proven to be “unbiased, independent and impartial.”
