On a soul-wrenching account, a grandmother of eight children, Mary Akosua Korankyewaa, has unraveled chilling details of the events that led to her daughter Adwoa Dankwa’s death.

Mary Akosua Korankyewaa, who sat in an interview with Crime Check TV, said her daughter, Adwoa Dankwa, died at 38, a day after she gave birth to triplets.

The feeble grandmother has been left with a daunting burden of providing for eight children and she says the weight of the burden is crushing her.

According to Korankyewaa, her daughter had initially given birth to triplets and a set of twins. And when she got pregnant again, she birthed triplets but sadly died the day after.

Amid uncontrollable pressure, the aged grandmother of eight grandchildren, who lives in Kumasi revealed that the father of the children had travelled to seek greener pastures but has not been able to send financial or any form of help since he left.

Mary Akosua Korankyewaa disclosed that often, the five children, who are currently in school are compelled to stay at home because she couldn’t afford to feed them or there was no money to either purchase their books or pay their schools fees.

She reveals she has no one to help cater for the eight grandchildren and her plight continues to worsen each passing day.

Akosua Korankyewaa told Crime Check TV, she once worked as a caretaker of a public toilet to enable her provide daily for the children but was compelled to stop due to poor sanitary conditions at the facility.

The feeble grandmother of eight children is appealing to Ghanaians to come to her aid.

''Please have mercy on me and come to my aid because one square meal a day is a huge burden for us. It is by God’s grace that we are still alive,'' she told Crime Check.

Akosua Korankyewaa also revealed she’s currently living with a Good Samaritan who opened her house to her and the eight kids when they became homeless.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that a Nigerian woman identified as Barley Blessing Ememiruwan rcently took to social media to solicit for funds for a little boy. The woman said the 9-year-old needs money to attend school because his parents cannot afford it.
