Brazil superstar Neymar will be out for four weeks after suffering a grade two hamstring strain during Nigeria’s friendly.

According to reports, the 27-year-old Neymar, who is back to Paris from Singapore, commenced his recovery on Monday, October 14.

The Selecao star uploaded an image on Instagram of himself while lying on a bed in Paris with a simple caption 'recovery'.

Interestingly, Neymar is now expected to sit out PSG's two Champions League clashes against Club Brugge, but is due back to tackle Real Madrid.

Speaking earlier, Brazil national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar, who examined the Selecao superstar hinted Neymar did not suffer a serious injury.

“Worrying situation, of course. He did not cite very sharp pain.

“He felt discomfort. A slightly vague complaint. He asked to continue, but soon realized that it was not very normal and asked to leave to have no complication.

“The first evaluation is always for greater care, but you need the image (exam) to understand what happened, if it was just muscle fatigue or if you need more care,” Lasmar was quoted as saying to Globo Esporte.

Neymar’s spot was later taken by Philippe Coutinho after feeling an injury in his left thigh.

The PSG forward was missing for Brazil during this year's Copa America due to a right ankle injury. He only returned to action two months later.

Legit.ng reported earlier that Super Eagles shot-stopper Francis Uzoho will be sidelined for six months after damaging his ligament during Nigeria’s friendly against Brazil’s Selecao on Sunday, October 13, at the Singapore National Stadium.

Uzoho landed awkwardly in the 62nd minute after contesting for the ball with Brazil’s Casemiro inside the box and was stretched off as he could not continue the game.
