I was denied access to some parts of Aso Rock by Mamman Daura, daughter - Aisha Buhari

- Aisha Buhari confirmed being in the leaked video recorded by Fatima Daura

- The first lady said the daughter of Mamman Daura recorded the video in the presence of her security personnel

- Aisha claimed she was prevented from accessing some parts of Aso Rock

Aisha Buhari has confirmed the authenticity of video being circulated over the internet saying she was the one being denied access to some parts of Aso Rock.

In the said video, the first lady was seen complaining about being barred from accessing some parts of the Presidential Villa.

In an interview with BBC Hausa, Aisha said although the video was recorded a year ago, it was recorded by Fatima Daura who is the daughter of Mamman Daura.

There has been rumour of President Muhammadu Buhari's nephew and confidante, Daura wielding strong influence in the presidency.

Aisha said Fatima recorded the video in the presence of her security personnel.

She said: “I was the one in that video and this person you see standing at my back are my security personnel.

“It was Fatima, the daughter of Mamman Daura that shot the video in front of my security and everybody there. She was actually recording the whole thing right in front of me and was laughing and mocking me.

“They did that because my husband sacked them from the house. He told them to get all their belongings and leave the house for my son (Yusuf) to occupy.

“I left them and wanted to get to one of the rooms but they prevented me from getting through, I left them and took another way yet I met the store locked.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the president's wife cautioned Nigerians on the dangers of spreading fake news shortly after she returned from a medical leave from the United Kingdom.

Mrs Buhari gave the warning on Sunday, October 13, while fielding questions from journalists shortly after her arrival at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, in the early hours of Sunday.

The first lady was received at the airport by the wife of the Kogi state governor, Rashida Bello, senior special assistant to the president (administration), Dr Hajo Sani and wife of former governor of Nasarawa state, Mairo Al-Makura, among others.
