Unconfirmed report says Kidnappers storm private school in Delta, abduct 2

There was chaos and confusion among residents of Issele-Azagba, a community close to Asaba on Monday, October 14, as kidnappers were said to have struck in a private school and went away with two pupils.

Daily Sun reports that the kidnappers arrived the school when activities were at their peak. They came in a black Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).

After allegedly beating up the security men at the premises of the school, they headed to one of the classrooms where the pupils of same parents were taking lessons.

The report quoted a witness as saying the gunmen shot sporadically into the air while with their victims.

They went ahead to put their victims in the back of the SUV before driving away.

The report said the state commissioner of police, Adeyinka Adeleke, could not confirm the report when he was contacted.

“My men are in the field now working so I cannot confirm anything to you,” he said.
