The People Democratic Party has reacted to Garba Shehu's description of the opposition party as dead and missing in Nigeria.
In a reply to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the national spokesman of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, said that the opposition party does not have members who forge certificate, Vanguard reports.
Ologbondiyan said that the PDP is doing it utmost to entrench democracy in Nigeria by dealing directly with the people.
He went on to say that the PDP will not relent in its efforts to regain the stolen mandate of Atiku Abubakar at the Supreme Court.
The PDP spokesman said: “Our party, the PDP does not contain certificate forgers. It is not a party of people who are contrivers.
"Our party is relating directly with the Nigerian people and we are working assiduously to make sure that democratic tenets are not only entrenched in our nation but seen to be practiced."
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Shehu had accused the PDP of failing to carry out it key duty of positive criticism of the President Buhari-led administration.
The presidential spokesman said that the alleged redundant stance of the opposition party was not good for the country's democracy.
