LIVE: Brazil 1-1 Nigeria FT (International friendly)

Brazil vs Nigeria ended 1-1 as both sides shared the spoils in an entertaining international friendly match played in Singapore.

The Super Eagles started on a bright note as Joe Aribo walked through the Brazilian defence to make it 1-0 after 35 minutes.

Casemiro restored parity after an initial header from Marquinhos hit the cross-bar before the Real Madrid midfielder slammed into an empty net to make it 1-1.

Brazil have continued their winless runs since they won the Copa America tournament back in July, with three draws and a defeat.

Nigeria are also yet to win a match after the AFCON tournament but the three-time African champions will be happy with the result they got against the five-time World Champions.

Jamilu Collins stops Gabriel Jesus from getting a cross into the box as the Super Eagles re-organize in defence.

Roberto Firmino twists and turns in Nigeria's 18-yard area but his shot goes just wide. The Liverpool striker did not get the right contact from the ball.

Neymar takes it but the Super Eagles clear their lines properly. The Samba Boys have been able to pin-down the Nigerian team in their half.

Excellent control from Victor Osimhen as he out-muscles Thiago Silva and shoots but Ederson had to go down to produce a left-handed save.

There are no goals yet in the match but the Super Eagles have produced the best chance from Osimhen.

Jesus brilliantly cuts inside Jamilu Collins in the box but the Padeborn defender recovers in time to block the shot from the Manchester City striker.


Philippe Coutinho comes in for Neymar who signaled to the bench to be taken off for a suspected injury.

The Selecao have enjoyed larger share of possession but are yet to find a telling pass into the Nigerian defence.

Samuel Chukwueze delivers a teasing cross trying to find Osimhen and Marquinhos almost turned the ball into his own net for a corner kick. The resulting corner kick is cleared away by the Brazilians.

Chukuweze dribbles past Renan Lodi on the right and delivers a cross but the ball could not find Osimhen and Moses Simon in the box.

Coutinho and Firmino opens the Nigerian defence with a one-two pass but the Liverpool striker shoots straight at Uzoho. The teams go for a water break with scores still at 0-0.


Joe Aribo scores. Moses Simon controls a cross from Osimhen and cuts it back to Aribo who dances his way into the Brazilian defence before putting it past Ederson to make it 1-0 to Nigeria. It's his second goal in his second game for Nigeria, what a midfielder he is turning out to be.

The Super Eagles on the attack again as Wilfred Ndidi steals a shot from Iwobi's feet but it went straight at Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson. The Nigerian team are fired up at the moment.

The Nigerian side are exploiting the Brazilian defence with long balls using the pace of Chukwueze and Osimhen.

Jesus shades Collins on the right and drills in a low cross but William Troost-Ekong comes in with a sliding challenge to clear his lines.

Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro wins a free kick in front of the 18-yard area as Coutinho leans over. It is taken by the Bayern Munich star and it goes just wide as Uzoho was in full stretch.

Chidozie Awaziem has been top-notch for the Super Eagles in the left-back area, stopping Everton on his tracks every time an attack is made.

Chukwueze combines well with Aribo as the Villarreal winger delivers a cross to Osimhen who leaps and heads straight to Ederson.

Both teams are getting at each other when possession is won and lost. The game is expected to end with a flourish.

Fantastic save from Uzoho as Jesus heads from a Coutinho's cross. The Super Eagles number one goes down swiftly and makes a right-handed save. Narrow escape for Nigeria.

A strong header from Casemiro as it smashes against he cross-bar but Uzoho was involved in the collision as he stays down to get treatment. Uzoho is taken off after landing awkwardly on his ankle.


Gabriel Barbosa comes in for Firmino. Maduka Okoye makes his full international debut for Nigeria as he comes on for injured Uzoho.

Brazil has been by far the better side in the second half and they have been rewarded with a goal but there is still much to play as stays at 1-1.

Lovely pass from Coutinho to Richarlison but the Everton striker was signaled offside. Nigeria have done well to keep the Brazilians in an offside position on several occasions.

Both teams have gone to the sidelines to refresh from a water-break as the scores still even at 1-1.

Lovely dribbling skills from Jesus as he beats Collins and cuts it back for Richarlison whose shot was blocked by Semi-Ajayi.

Moses Simon wins a corner kick as he tries to get past Dani Alves. Semi Ajayi goes up for the header but was involved in a clash of heads with Marquinhos.


Bonaventure Dennis comes in for Moses Simon as Arthur makes way for Fabinho.


Ramon Azeez makes a return to the Super Eagles after five years as he replaces Alex Iwobi.

Great opportunity for Coutinho to seal the match but his shot was blocked by Semi Ajayi as Okoye makes an easy catch.
