Unai Emery could be facing the exit doors at Premier League side Arsenal if the club should fail to qualify for the Champions League at the end of the ongoing League season.
The Spanish football manager signed a two-year deal in 2018 when he replaced Frenchman Arsene Wenger with the option of getting another 12-month deal.
Arsenal board were said to be satisfied with Una Emery's first season at the Emirates despite not qualifying for the Champions League, but reached the Europa League final.
According to the latest report on Times, Unai Emery has now been given a target by the Gunners' chiefs for him to qualify the team for Champions League next term.
‘'We said to Unai that we just missed out on qualifying for the Champions League last year, but this year, with a stronger squad, we expect you to do that,'' Arsenal’s head of football Raul Sanllehi said according to the report.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are currently occupying third position on the Premier League standings with 15 points after eight games played this term.
